First Look at the Big Book June 2, 2026
What an outstanding day we all had during our ceremonies to share a preview of the Big Book: Pages for Peace with our communities of Groton and Dunstable. After more than seven years of hard work, writing to people and organizations all over the world asking them to share their thoughts about peace, we have received over 3000 responses including letters, poetry, artwork, photography, even musical lyrics to include in the giant anthology. The students at Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School and our communities celebrated together as we previewed Big Book's first 150 printed pages and the multitude of volunteers that have made this dream come true.
Our founding members, who started the project in 2004 when they were in fifth grade, graduated from high school the night before the June 2nd ceremony which honored the original club members for their dedication to the project and their inspiration to over 180 other club members that followed in their footsteps. The celebration also gave the local communities their "first look at the Big Book" as we move toward its completion this year.

Big Book: Pages for Peace will be traveling to museums around the world to inspire other children and adults to make a difference and keep the hope of peace alive. Future letter submissions will be included in an online digital version of the Big Book as it continues to grow and spread its important message.
